OUR STORY

Our 15 room boutique hotel is a wonderful and modern contrast to Silverton, Colorado's rugged mountains and Wild West charm. Located on Silverton's main street, the 1902 landmark building has been reimagined with the comforts and amenities of an urban boutique hotel and is a welcoming, thoughtfully appointed space, perfect for artists, creatives, and adventurers.

The Wyman Building

Following a successful career in the freight business, Louis Wyman built The Wyman Building in 1902 on the same site where his old freighting office had been.

The first floor included a mercantile, a gas station, and even housed the town trolly. The second floor of the building was originally designed as a ballroom and lodge hall, with an adjoining banquet room. Both halls were well furnished and equipped with anterooms as well as a lounge for the ladies.

For many years, the top floor was busy with social activities almost every night. The second floor also included two three-room office suites occupied by a dentist office and mining companies.

Over the following century, the building has been lovingly cared for by multiple owners for a multitude of purposes, and we are excited to share the rich history of this building with you today as The Wyman Hotel.

Silverton

Silverton is a community of adventurers. It is a National Historic Landmark and the summer destination of the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad train ride. It is also part of the San Juan Skyway (with the Million Dollar Highway connecting Silverton to Ouray) and the Alpine Loop. With the Weminuche Wilderness close by, Silverton is a recreational paradise for a wide variety of sports, both in summer and winter.
